Its 5:00 pm and all I had to eat today was some cabbage with gravy. I know, what a wierd choice of food but that was the only thing in my fridge that I could heat up quickly and eat - well, besides a yogurt which I didn't want. Just got back from my life drawing class and about to go to the kitchen and cook up something decent but will decided to post entry first.

After saturday i've concluded:
SNL - not funny. Hugh Laurie - very funny. When you put them together you get a entertaining show with some brilliant bits and some painful bits. Hugh is the fugliest lookin woman but he has the thighs and ass of a god. Also worth noting that Beck had one kickass performance complete with puppets, harmonica and dinner table percussion.
Today, we had one hot lookin' model. The previous bunch of people had all been middle aged or sort of squishy, ugly etc but today the girl that was modeling for us was damn gorgeous. And I'm saying this from the perspective of a straight girl, I mean she was gorgeous like movie star gorgeous (without the charisma though). The guys in the class didn't oogle, thankfully, but I'm sure more than a few took a few moments from their sketching and drawing to appreciate. Drawing her, however is a little more difficult as you've got to get the lines and curves more accurately and you don't have folds and chunkiness of skin/fat you can cover up your mistakes with. Hope the girl can come back again the next session. Or at least get a good lookin guy.
Besides that little note, class is as always - a nice time to exercise and loosen up without using the muscle in the noggin. The only troubling part is the gesture drawing, which I've always had difficulty in doing. I just can't seem to go fast enough and I dread every time the professor comes around to critique and tell me what I'm doing wrong. The T.A. gave me a helpful pointer though, and that is to not lift the charcoal from the paper, which forced me to draw through the figure. Either way, I'm usually sweating buckets by the time I'm through, just from the sheer pressure I'm putting on myself to constantly go faster, faster.
What else, oh House back from hiatus last night.
I don't have the experience, but it probably felt like that first shot of morphine after a while in withdrawal. Lots of snarkiness which is totally great and the people behind the show indulged us girls with a totally unneccesary but oh so delicious shot of Hugh/House's belly and button.

I didn't think I'd ever say this but that was the sexiest arrest ever broadcast on television. There's nary a girl who watched that and didn't think about handcuffing House for better purposes to their bed. Why can't they have stuff like that on cops??
A couple more Hugh pics (just because I can):

What a pimp. All the ladies love the Hugh.

From that cheesetastic Hugh vehicle called Girl From Rio. He is so adorable during this segment of the film.

Whoever was the photographer for this shoot should be rewarded with his weight in gold. Sex god i tell you. Sex god!
Recommeded Tunes for Today:
(next 10 songs that play on my iTunes)
+ Don't Stop Me Now - Queen
(Freddie Mercury go go go!)
+ Born On The 13th - Smokey Hogg
("I was flyin to California and landed in Shanghai...")
+ Scattered Black and Whites - Elbow
(I don't know why but listening to Elbow is like going back in time. When specifically I have no clue but I just get the sense of going to a somewhat hazy but comforting past)
+ Judy Is A Punk - Ramones
(Perfect for a soundtrack)
+ Queen Bitch - David Bowie
(He's one sexy bitch he is)
+ I'm In The Mood Again - Elvis Costello
(Some sweet ballady softness that makes me want to make soup for Elvis)
+ Move On Up - Curtis Mayfield
(Oh yeah!! Man I love Curtis so much. Doesn't get enough credit I think for all the groovetastic stuff he makes. Too wholesome, people probably think)
+ She - Green Day
(woah. ok, didn't see this song coming. Takes me back to the good ole times in junior high. I remember practicing the graduation ceremony and my english teacher took one look at my Green Day shirt (which depicted a man pissing on a flower in an alleyway) and said "nice shirt" in a psuedo sarcastic manner and without missing a beat I said, "Thanks!")
+ Cherry Blossom Girl - Air
(eh. Want to skip to next song)
+ For The Damaged - Blonde Redhead
(A band introduced to me by my college "schoolgirl" crush. Thank god I'm over thaat now. ::rolls eyes::)
