So I saw the poster of Forrest Whitaker in The Last King Of Scotland and my first reaction is wha? Whitaker? Scotland? "I don't get it" I said to myself, but perhaps that was the point. Anyways, I heard about the performances but didn't know what the movie was about and for some reason, avoided reviews of the film even when the opportunity presented itself. Finally gave it a chance and watched the trailer. I'm veeeery interested now.
Just read the title: Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus I'm already interested. Woooooow.
The visuals for Tideland has totally got me sold
Oooh! Tom Tykwer! I've seen 3 of his films so far and thought they were all interesting and two (Princess and Warrior/Run Lola Run) were so visually arresting so I'll definitely watch Purfume. Not to mention, I've wanted to read the book for a while now and the film has Alan Rickman and Dustin Hoffman!
Death Of A President On the hypothetical assassination of Bush Jr. Someone's wishful thinking? I'm surprised the people who's behind this movie aren't already in trouble. By the way, someone who's close to me (and shall remain anonymous) has told me repeatedly that Jr is probably going to get killed some time after he's done w/ his term.
And because I'm such an Anglophile, I want to watch History Boys which is about a bunch of brit boys trying to get into Cambridge and Oxford. Looks like your regular inspirational edumacation flick, but its british! yay!
