RIP Mr. Knotts
What a black black day.
Have just found out Don Knotts passed away friday. As soon as I found out while flipping through Time Magazine, I quickly passed from shock to near tears. I grew up on Andy Griffith in sindication on late weekend mornings and the antics of Mr. Knotts as Barney Fife amused me to no end. As a young immigrant girl, his emotive face and physical movements translated beyond language and was a source of joy for both me and my sister to join in. Even now, the show and its characters hold a very special place in my heart - to the point of me devoting an entire college paper on the show. A little piece of the sweet innocent Mayberry life has died today. I have to stop now, I'm getting too upset....

Nothing but love.
